Are you like me and scared to trust comic platforms again? Or maybe you just prefer to read the comic on the site, but you’re not sure how to remember how to keep up with updates?
This is a little guide with tips on how to be notified about updates both for Autophobia and any other self-hosted comic.
1. Subscribe to the site
You can type in your email to subscribe to receive newsletters whenever there’s a new page or news post. You can find this in the right sidebar on desktop and near the bottom of the page on mobile, or just click the floating button.
2. Use a RSS Feed Reader
The RSS url can be copy/pasted into a RSS Feed Reader. To get the url, find where the RSS is linked (for most comic sites, it’s usually in the navigation bar, displayed as a button like below, or linked at the bottom of the page).

Some RSS Readers you can just type in the name of the site. Feedly (for Android/iOS) is one that I have experimented with in the past (you can also just “search” Autophobia in the app and it pops up).
Other apps that I have heard of, but have not personally tried yet are:
- NewsBlur (Android/iOS)
- Inoreader (Android/iOS)
- Feedreader (Desktop)
- Feeder (Android/iOS)
- The Old Reader (Android/iOS)
- Plenary (Android)
- NetNewsWire (iOS)
- Feedbro (Desktop)
3. Bookmark the site and set yourself a reminder
4. Follow me on social media for update posts
